chevrolet trax for

The Chevrolet Trax crossover platform was developed in Korea, the Hungarian Barnabas Vince was responsible for the power units, the American Jim Federico was the chief designer of the car, Vijay Layer, a native of India, is in charge of Chevrolet PR in Europe, and Canadian Susan Docherty “varnishes” the whole process - last year she headed Chevrolet Europe. Such is the GM-international, GM-session. And what am I doing in this motley Trax-team, gathered on the Croatian coast of the Adriatic? I'm trying to understand how the "global" Trax differs from the platform crossover Opel Mokka. By the way, I certainly was not the first Russian with whom the creators of the machine communicated. After all, someone has already pointed out to them the “borderline” perception of the Trax name - and the onomastic puncture has now been corrected: in the “Russian-speaking markets” the car will be presented as a Chevrolet Tracker. Compared  chevrolet trax for to Mokka, Trax-Tracker's appearance hardly improved. But not worse! Designers from the team of stylist Richard Scheer (he, by the way, is an American, but his ancestors are from Germany) slightly coarsened the contours, “squared” the wheel arches, slightly raised the line of the hood - and, of course, attached the branded crossbar with a Chevrolet cross to the front end. Previously, Jim Federico was responsible for GM mid-size and full-size cars - in particular, under his leadership, the Opel Insignia was created. He considers the main advantage of Trax over Mokka to be a higher ride and a significant difference in price. But the interior is clearly simpler than Opelevsky. If in Mokka you feel like you are in Astra, except perhaps elevated above the road, then here - a vinaigrette of details familiar from the Aveo and Cobalt models. It has become cheaper in every sense - and now no one will have any doubts that the Tracker is assigned a place one step lower than Mokka. This is also indicated by the truncated list of possible equipment. Unlike the Mokka, the Trax-Tracker does not have systems for automatically switching headlights from far to near and monitoring traffic in its lane, there is no traffic sign reader, there is no ramp for transporting bicycles that extends from the rear bumper ... On the other hand, ask me - and I will answer that for all these bells and whistles I would not have thought to overpay. But I would be glad that the Chevrolet Trax promises to be cheaper than the Opel Mokka - in Germany, prices differ by as much as 2,000 euros! The interior is almost like an Aveo. I found soft vinyl only on the armrests of the front doors, which lack comfortable handles - their role is played by capacious, but not too “grasping” pockets. The steering wheel is adjustable for tilt and reach over a fairly wide range. There are as many as three glove boxes, if we consider as such a small closable niche under the windshield If the Opel Mokka in the “top-end” configuration surprises with the “Mercedes” abundance of buttons, keys and “knobs” (there are 43 of them on the center console only!) And a powerful “prompter booth” with a navigation system screen, then on the center console of Treks in the richest configuration - only three "twists" of the ventilation system (there is a simple air conditioner, there is no climate control) and only six buttons. Control of all other secondary functions - using the MyLink multimedia system and interactive display And at the same time Tracker is more practical. For example, if a 230-volt outlet relies only on expensive Moccams, then here it is “by default”. For a surcharge, the Tracker can be equipped with a folding front passenger seat, which is not available to Mokka, and such a “clamshell” allows you to carry loads up to 2.3 meters long! And the trunk can be "organized" with the help of convenient plastic partitions! Multimedia system MyLink with a seven-inch touch screen LG Electronics is the privilege of Traks with a high level of equipment. The beauty of the system is that it allows you to "pull" almost any application from your smartphone - from the BrinGo navigation service to video files. Through the TuneIn service, you can listen to your favorite radio stations, and the Siri program allows you to use your voice not only to control phone calls, but also to receive and send text messages. In fact, Trax's screen plays the role of a remote smartphone monitor More expensive versions are equipped with the MyLink infotainment system, which allows you to make https://cars45.com/listing/chevrolet/trax
