The 2016 Toyota Tundra is a powerful full-size pickup truck, one of the few in its class that takes off-road performance seriously. Unfortunately, in many other respects, it lags behind American competitors.
The full-size pickup is an unashamed and proud American creation. It's the result of a stiff rear suspension that admittedly handles heavy transport duties, but if it's just a family wading through town, the pushing will stop.
In all fairness, Tundra does offer a lot to truck buyers. Its double cab is one of the most spacious extended cabs on the market, while the CrewMax is rightfully folded out, with not only more legroom but also the added comfort of a reclined seat back. The 2016 Toyota Tundra is a full-size pickup truck. There are three cockpit styles: regular cockpit, extended double cockpit and CrewMax cockpit. There are two wheelbases and three bed lengths - a 5.5-foot short bed, a 6.5-foot standard bed, and an 8.1-foot bed. Upgrading to the SR5 (dual cab and CrewMax only) gives you fog lights, chrome exterior trim, variable intermittent wipers, and an updated tech interface that includes a 7-inch touchscreen, HD and satellite radio, traffic information and a navigation app. CrewMax adds a power opening rear window and overhead console. The SR5 upgrade package adds front bucket seats that include a driver's seat with mechanical height and lumbar adjustment, center console (with storage box and foot switch), tilt-telescopic steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a larger gas tank with 5.7-liter V8.
