Test drive Jaguar F-PACE: Alternative 18.10.2021 at 14:27 Updated: 10/18/2021 at 14:27 Roman Melnichenko Roman Melnichenko We often live by stereotypes. It is the same with cars: the premium "German troika", plus the famous "Japanese", someone will remember the "Swedes". What if? The Jaguar F-PACE crossover is just that “if”: an interesting, rare, original alternative. But how worthwhile is this alternative? We will find out in the course of a detailed review. It's simple: Jaguar F-PACE is the brand's first crossover. Moreover, they immediately tried to position it in the form of a "golden mean": a wide range of internal combustion engines (this was after the Jaguar I-PACE electric car appeared), successful average sizes (this was after the compact Jaguar E-PACE appeared), classic design in a characteristic style Jaguar. The car debuted at the end of 2015 and was launched on the Ukrainian market in 2016. The planned update took place exactly five years later: at the end of 2020 - the world debut, in the spring of 2021 - a car in Ukraine. A lot has Jaguar f-pace in ghana  changed: a completely new interior and electronics, in-line 4- and 6-cylinder engines (previously there were V6), hybrid versions, new optics and exterior details. It rides in such a way that in the corners it will certainly be able to please you. After all, a rather big all-wheel drive crossover Jaguar F-PACE knows how to "dive" into corners, as if it were a nimble premium sedan with rear wheel drive. With each turn of the steering wheel, the car is stubborn only a little - at the beginning of the bend, as if giving a moment to correct the error, jerking the steering wheel. But if the driver gave the command and is sure of this, then after a moment Jaguar is already writing an arc of the bend. Moreover, it seems that the arc can be any: for this crossover, the steeper the bend, the better; He swallows 90-degree turns at once. The harder you turn the steering wheel with neutral effort, the more surprising it is at how sharply the car turns. I say “clearly”, but I don’t say “easy”: because the weight and dimensions are still felt. But for a car of this size and size, the Jaguar F-PACE crossover turns well. And also the mass and size is felt when driving on bumpy roads. There is a feeling that you are driving a monolithic carriage, for which the main thing is the care and protection of the family. Including, and protection from adversity roads or unwanted noise. The Jaguar F-PACE crossover suddenly offered unexpectedly good suspension comfort (only large heavy wheels bounce unpleasantly on speed bumps), as well as deafening silence in the cabin. In short, the result is an interesting combination of comfort and a sense of protection with a willingness to turn. But there are nuances ... The fact is that without choosing a sports-dynamic driving mode, there is nothing to get out of the corner. Nominally, 250 hp is "written" under the hood, which is a lot: the level of a solid 3-liter V6 from the past. However, in reality, the 4-cylinder 2-liter turbo engine only lives at high revs. And, frankly speaking, even there he lives without a "spark". Perhaps the 8-speed "automatic" is largely to blame. By itself, he switches okay: quickly and imperceptibly. But passion loves to go to higher gears. And, as a result, it "drops" the engine speed by 1.2-1.3 thousand, like a turbodiesel under the hood. But at the slightest acceleration, you have to "dump" down, raise the engine crankshaft speed, blow air with a turbine - and all this time. To overtake or get out of a turn under traction, you need to start pressing the gas much earlier than usual (this is a matter of habit) or forcibly reset gears in advance. Or choose a dynamic sports driving mode. Which is extremely logical: it was in the latter case that the Jaguar F-PACE crossover finally began to drive as I expected from it initially. Dynamic mode does not relieve the car of a sense of size and weight, but allows you to more often reveal the potential of a great chassis. Under the hood of the Jaguar F-PACE crossover, a more powerful engine is asking for. But not harder, so as not to disturb the weight distribution and not to lose agility in turns. The updated car is immediately recognizable: the headlights and lights now resemble Jaguar I-PACE, the design of the bumpers has changed. The test car was presented in the R-Design package with the optional Black package: original radiator grille and window surrounds, lots of gloss black.
