Wired Pc Gamepad
The best gamepads for PC and other devices, which we'll talk about, will help you get the most out of the game. As such, the gamepad is usually considered a purely console accessory, and for good reason. The mechanics of games on consoles have been "sharpened" specifically for manipulators of this type since the days of the NES - the same auto-aim in shooters on consoles of the next generations appeared precisely because of the impossibility of accurate and quick aiming on the gamepad. But, if you remember how many games are now being written either initially cross-platform, or even ported to a PC from consoles, it is not surprising that such manipulators have been connected to a computer for a long time (and the owners of consoles, on the contrary, are already acquiring keyboards and mice). And more and more PC games in the settings menu get a "Gamepad" section (alas, often with the canonical "Press X to win" instead of gameplay). Management in them also remains "console", convenient from the gamepad. Remember at least the same Skyrim: I did Wired Pc Gamepad n't write about clumsy keyboard controls, probably only a lazy one. We will not get involved in the "holy war", arguing that it is more convenient (a mouse, a keyboard or a gamepad) is already a matter of tastes, and in games with simple mechanics, where a limited set of keys is enough, gamepads have a "right to life." They will be even more convenient in races and "flying" games without any pretense of simulators, the metering of gas and steering angle with the classic WASD is not a good solution.
Well, with the growing popularity of mobile games, gamepads got a second wind. To use the touchscreen and accelerometer as the only controls - for this you need to have much more specific tastes than that of Mr. Gray. That is why more and more gamepads are on sale specifically for iOS / Android devices.
Which gamepad should you choose in 2021? Let's try to figure it out traditionally.

Our rating of the best gamepads opens with the old, but for 10 years, the model Logitech G Gamepad F310. In the assets of this model, the brand itself is already - something, but Logitech can do gaming peripherals, and their user support is generally recognized as one of the best. Ergonomically, the F310 repeats the classic already DualShock, but Logitech is much more functional. Firstly, it can work in any games - just flip the gamepad and select the desired mode with the switch (DirectInput or XInput). Even if the controller works "crookedly" in a particular game, you can configure it using proprietary software by creating your own profile for this game. Secondly, it is also compatible with Android TV. And all this at the price of ordinary "Chinese", and with a three-year warranty.
However, it was not without its drawbacks. For many, it will be critical that the size of the gamepad is too small - it sits uncomfortably in large hands, reducing comfort during a long game. No vibration feedback - this reduces interactivity. In the same horror movies (and their similarities), the slight pulsation of the controller to the beat of the hero's heartbeat, reacting to what is happening - seems to be a trifle, but how it affects the immersion in the game! Finally, the hammers are unusually tight, and the backlash of the cross (even if it is already becoming an anachronism) somehow does not correspond to the brand's reputation.
The best inexpensive controller. Although the 710th from the same Logitech, of course, is cooler.
Why reinvent something when there are already proven forms of the gamepad? Defender clearly thought this way, except that the digital labeling of the buttons will be inconvenient for those who are just starting to use a gamepad on a PC and are not yet used to blind reactions: the game will require you to press X or Y, but on the gamepad it will be 4 and 1. Considering that a wrongly performed or mistakenly chosen action in the middle of the game can lead to the flight of the gamepad into the wall ... The same will happen when playing on the PlayStation, which the gamepad also supports: the game needs a "cross", but you need to press "three" ... Better to temper emotions - the gamepad will not survive the flight into the wall, as well as strong button presses: no wonder at this price, in general.
The gamepad traditionally supports DirectInput, but XInput support is not forgotten, so there should be no problems in Windows games. Except those where
