Review of the car owner Subaru Impreza 2008 2-liter, 4-cylinder, naturally aspirated, opposed gasoline engine. 150 h.p. I chose the car for a long time, reviewed all the options (including Korea), but somehow from the very beginning I was more inclined towards Japanese cars. The requirements were as follows: a new model (new model range), 2 liters, automatic transmission (so that the wife could drive). We came to a Subaru dealer, looked, passed a test drive (I'm driving) a 1.5 liter version with automatic transmission. Let's just say this car doesn't drive at all. The motor seems to be spinning, making noise, but there is no effect. The car is in this configuration for a very quiet ride (and if you turn on the air conditioner, and even seat the passengers ...). As a result, the choice settled on a new Impreza with a 2 liter engine and automatic transmission. Now, point by point, the pros: 1. I liked the body design immediately (in real life it looks quite differently than in the photo). Head lens optics and LED rear look very sporty (aggressive). The standard alloy w Subaru Impreza 2008 Blue heels for 16 look quite decent and harmonious with the body design (I put winter tires on them, for the summer I took 17 wheels and 215 / 45P17 tires, it looks even better :)). Large, comfortable rear-view mirrors (very good visibility when driving in any direction at any time of the day). Electric –heated –adjustable –folding mirrors are also available. Heated windshield wipers are a very useful thing. 2. Salon is another story. As I sat down, I did not want to go out. Everything is in its place, accessible, understandable. The steering wheel is in the best traditions of Subaru (3-spoke, nice, comfortable). Comfortable chairs (not Recaro, but you can adjust the fit as you like, moderately elastic), adjustments like everyone else (back - forward, up and down). The high ceiling allows you to fit with almost any height (I have 185 cm, and there is still 20-25 cm above my head. The stock remains). I was pleased with the red illumination of the dashboard (well readable). There is no coolant temperature dial gauge, there is a sensor (the blue indicator is on, the engine is cold, it is out, you can go). You turn the ignition switch, the arrows of all the devices describe a circle and return to their places (very spectacular show, who gets into the car for the first time, they are surprised, some ask to show it again :)). 3. The car behaves superbly on the move. The handling is just fantastic (I didn't believe Subarovodam when I read such reviews, but I should have tried it myself ... What can I say at any speed, any turn, clearly, without rolls. It's just nice to drive such a car). For comfort, the suspension is stiff (definitely a plus for me). The engine, of course, not a WRX, but justifies its 150, spins briskly up to 7000, pulls in all ranges. But the automatic transmission, of course, smears the picture, this is a device for a comfortable ride without unnecessary effort (it does not always react to the driver's demands on time). If you want dynamics, definitely a manual transmission. Soundproofing on a solid 4 out of 5. 1. On the bumps, you can hear clicks somewhere in the trunk (apparently the fastening of the curtain covering the luggage compartment is not tightly held in positions), this does not happen often, so it does not bother. 2. Hard plastic is everywhere (but does not hold together, does not make noise, so this may not be a negative at all, because it looks good). 3. Light ceiling (not very practical) 4. Not complete soundproofing of the wheel arches (stones, dirt, you can hear everything). 5. None of the standard acoustics (the head is good, reads CDMP3WMA), but the speakers do not sound very musical (mid-range). 6. Small trunk (I personally have nothing to carry, but it is very important for someone) 7. The engine periodically triplets and rpm floats (until I figured out why, today I will go, I will definitely write what was wrong).
