The BBC's Russian service spoke to Galanov about what it feels like to joke about a portrait of Putin in today's Russia. BBC: How did you come up with the idea for the video? It came because of my personality - [I like] to joke everybody. A friend of mine produces handmade shelves for home, and I left him a comic review on the VKontakte page: "I bought a shelf from Oleg - my wife's breasts grew, children won the Olympi Song Writer cs, flowers bloomed in the house, and life began to change altogether." He joked, and then thought: why not make a song, just not about a shelf, but about a portrait of Putin. Then there would be such a banter over our mentality and over the reality in which we live. BBC: Tell us about the shooting: where was it filmed, how long did it take, how much did it cost and who was filmed? A.G .: We filmed in the village of Bokhan, which is located 120 kilometers from Irkutsk. It took literally half a day. We have one more clip - not so hype. But there we spent the money, and "Putin" was filmed at random, in fact. How much did you spend? They gave the operator a little bit and spent two tanks of gasoline for cars to Bohan. His name is Yuri Dromashko, he is a well-known miner in Irkutsk. The video was shot by Eugene Dzhem - a very great fellow. There are two grandmothers in the video. The first is the mother of Yuri Dromashko. And the second is a local, Bohan grandmother. She danced so well - felt it! There is also a wife according to the plot in the video. We forgot to take a wife from Irkutsk, so we had to urgently search through some old friends from Bohan. Literally in two hours they found a girl who agreed to star in, and I think that she was just perfect for the role.
